A Boscawen man was arrested and charged with domestic violence late Sunday following a multi-hour search.
Kenneth Haskins, 57, faces four counts of domestic violence and one count of criminal threatening, according to the Boscawen Police Department.
Police were called to a North Main Street house at 4:14 p.m. Sunday for a report of someone being “attacked.” A separate 911 caller told a dispatcher that her neighbor was screaming for help.
Haskins left the residence and entered the woods behind the home, according to police. State police responded with a canine and attempted to locate Haskins, but were unable to find him.
At 10:46 p.m., police said they received another call that Haskins was attempting to re-enter the residence. He was arrested without incident at that time.
Jason Killary, the police chief in Boscawen, confirmed an individual sustained injuries during the initial incident, but he did not know the medical status of the individual.
Haskins was arraigned in Franklin District Court on Monday and held in custody on preventative detention.
