Areas in pink are targets for a clean-up session Saturday, April 11.

Following last year’s event, when three dozen volunteers showed up to remove trash from parts of South Concord, a second Trash Clean-up in the city is planned for this Saturday, April 11.

The plan is to stage two groups: One group at the rear parking lot of Sanel Auto Parts, 219 South Main St., to clean up two parcels of land behind the property; and another group at the Common Man event parking area, 1 Gulf St., to clean up the area around Exit 13 of Interstate 93, which serves as a gateway to downtown.

The event will run from 8:30 to 10 a.m.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear bright clothing and durable footwear. AJ Gallagher & Co. will supply trash grabbers, gloves and reflective vests if needed.
