Weymouth, MA – Donald H. Goldthwaite, 72, of Weymouth, formerly of Concord, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham.
He was born on May 12, 1953, in Concord, son of the late Robert E. Goldthwaite and Barbara (Huggins) Goldthwaite. Donald was educated in local schools before attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He later earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.
In his younger years, he worked at Raytheon; he later went back to Northeastern to work as a professor for over 10 years. Donald liked to stay current with technology; he enjoyed making things with his 3D printer, flying his drone or out taking pictures with his camera. He liked music and could be found playing his guitar or piano.
Donald is survived by his children, Stella Goldthwaite and her partner Alexa Desmit, Elliot “Leo” Goldthwaite and his fiancé, Ashley Hurlburt, Liam Goldthwaite and Noah Goldthwaite, his siblings, Nancy Osgood and her husband Damon, Robert Goldthwaite, Jr. and his wife Julie, Douglas Goldthwaite and his wife Jane, and Bruce Goldthwaite and his wife Tracy.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 4PM-6PM at the Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke, NH. Burial will be private.
