The Bow Brook Tennis Club keeps expanding its horizons. For the first time, it will host a Women’s and Girl’s Tennis Tournament.

The annual city tournament, nestled away behind the trees at 144 Warren Street near Concord High, is celebrating 100 years. Like every other year, two men’s categories adjusted for skill level will face off.

The club has recently hosted local high school programs in an effort to grow the sport, too.

Earlier this season, the Concord girls and boys’ teams had a chance to play on the clay and get a taste of a different surface.

This past Tuesday, St. Paul’s Boys’ Tennis Coach David Taylor brought his varsity team onto the courts to give them a similar opportunity. Most courts around town are hard courts, so clay is a special treat.

All tournaments will have singles and doubles and will run in June and July. They are open to players of all ages. Entry costs are $30 per person.
