Thoughtless Trump
I have never understood why working class voters felt that a billionaire who cheated hundreds or thousands of contractors out of their money would be their savior. Trump’s own words have now proven that he is not their savior.
When asked about the recent increase in inflation, the highest in three years, Trump said “I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation. I don’t think about anybody.” That statement is the most transparent self-assessment I have ever heard him utter. It could only be more accurate if he’d said, “I don’t think about anybody except for myself.”
His supporters can try to put this into context by noting that DJT relates his statement to the Iran war. But the truth is apparent — the rich guy in the White House couldn’t care less about your economic struggles, with gas costing 50% more than it did a few months ago and other prices following that trend.
