Junior Avery Keefe scored 11 goals in one of the most impressive offensive performances across the state as sixth-seeded Coe-Brown routed No. 11 Plymouth 21-3 in the first round of the playoffs.

The Bears (10-4) didn’t waste time and took a 6-3 lead in the first quarter.

The defense kept the load light on Bears sophomore goalie Hailey Smith, who made nine saves. Junior Adalynn Moynihan led the defense with two interceptions, three blocks and five ground balls.

Also on offense, junior midfielder Eleanor Escabi scored five goals and assisted on four, backed up by junior Morgan Readel with six points. Junior Rose Bean scored two goals and Addison Roy scored one to get the team to 21.

After a quarterfinals exit last season, this young Coe-Brown team will move on to play No. 3 St. Thomas Aquinas in hopes of an upset. The quarterfinal match-up is scheduled for Thursday at 5 p.m.
