Boscawen, NH – Dorcas (Dodie) Wood, age 86, of Boscawen, NH passed away on January 20, 2026 at the Epsom Healthcare Facility in Epsom, NH with family by her side. She was born on July 10, 1939 in Barton, VT. Dorcas was the daughter of William and Shirley (Hunt) Hall.
She leaves behind sons, Lance (Shari) Benoit of Parrish, FL, Richard (Holly) Benoit of Northwood, NH, Alan (Denise) Benoit of Warner, NH, and daughter, Tammy Benoit of Franklin, NH. Siblings Marilyn Collins of Coos Bay, OR, Robert (Cheryl) Hall of Concord, NH, Bruce Hall of Boscawen, NH, Donna (Dana) Richardson of Spring Hill, FL and James Baird of Penacook, NH.
She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Herman Wood, brothers William Hall, and John Baird, and sisters Effie Brown, Susan Audet and Sandra Elliott.
Dodie worked 20+ years at Raytheon in Manchester, NH. She loved spending time with her family and her road trips with her sisters. And spending time at camp in Barton, VT.
A Committal Service will be held on June 17, 2026 11:00 am at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
