There’s Pulte of hope for me
Hooray for Bill Pulte. His coming appointment as Director of National Security shows that there’s hope for me. Pulte of hope! I want to be the director someday (well, not really).
Bill Pulte is 38 years old and his claim to fame is that his family owns a homebuilding empire. He has no national security experience. Zero, Zip, Zilch. He studied broadcast journalism in college, started a private equity firm at age 23 (let’s hear it for family money!) and sat on the board of his family’s business (oh, nepotism on the resume).
What is missing from his resume is ANY experience in national security.
So, let’s get back to me. I also have no experience in national security. So I could be the director? If it takes no experience at all, I’m your nominee. I will sit by the phone and wait for a call. I will even shed my Trump Derangement Syndrome — yes, am willing to say that Trump is not deranged if it gets me the job. And if experience in real estate is all that is needed, I’ve got it. I have owned two homes, had several mortgages, paid property taxes in Concord for years and done many home repair projects. I am as qualified as Bill Pulte because I have the same total lack of experience in national security. Pick me for Director of National Security (please don’t).
