Pappas fights for rural healthcare
The Republican “Big Ugly Bill” cut nearly $1 trillion in federal Medicaid funding — the most drastic attack on healthcare in recent history. Despite these devastating cuts, Scott Brown and John Sununu have both said they would have voted for it.
As a primary care provider, I see patients every day who struggle to afford care. When more people go uninsured, prices rise, communities suffer and we all end up paying more in the end.
Providers in rural communities are especially vulnerable in the wake of President Trump’s funding cuts last year. Congressman Chris Pappas understands the pressures patients and providers alike are facing.
In Congress, Chris is fighting to reverse the Trump administration’s cuts to Medicare and Medicaid and he’s fighting to restore the Affordable Care Act-enhanced premium tax credits that allowed tens of thousands of Granite Staters — including myself — to access affordable healthcare.
Chris took on Big Pharma to cap insulin costs at $35 per month and allow Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices for seniors. He’s introduced legislation that would make it easier for Granite Staters and small businesses to access coverage and legislation to expand access to telehealth services.
Chris is the only candidate for Senate that Granite Staters can count on to fight for lower healthcare costs and lower prescription drug prices. He’s taken on tough fights with Big Pharma and corporate special interests and he’ll keep fighting as New Hampshire’s next senator.
