Can’t trust Kelly on reproductive freedom
Kelly Ayotte’s decades long anti-choice record continues to haunt her. She has repeatedly attempted to mislead Granite Staters about her anti-choice agenda. Ayotte has her fingerprints on the biggest assault on women’s freedoms in America’s modern history.
Ayotte led the charge of a group of 33 Republican Senators in calling for a national abortion ban. As if her position wasn’t clear enough, she explicitly called for Roe v. Wade to be overturned. Ayotte also supported repealing the Affordable Care Act, which would force women to pay more for birth control and preventative health services, and enable insurance companies to discriminate against women. More than 150,000 women in New Hampshire alone gained access to expanded preventative health services because of the ACA, including contraception and mammograms.
After Granite Staters gave her the boot from the Senate, her solution to staying relevant was to become the “sherpa” for Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, who was key to overturning Roe v. Wade. Since becoming Governor, Ayotte continues to put reproductive freedom at risk. She has aligned herself with the radical Free State Agenda, who will stop at nothing to curtail women’s reproductive healthcare.
Granite Staters have seen this playbook before: Ayotte says one thing when she needs their votes, then does another when she has the power to act. But when it comes to reproductive freedom, her record is clear.
