Danbury, NH – Audrey (Dicey) Ford, 89, formerly of Old Turnpike Road, died Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at The Arbors of Bedford, NH.
She was born on December 18, 1936 the daughter of Jess and Jennie (Cate) Dicey. Audrey was born in Danbury and lived there until moving to The Arbors in 2024.
She was a stay-at-home Mom until later in life when she went to work in the housekeeping department at Proctor Academy from 1996-2011. Audrey babysat in her home for many years.
She enjoyed cooking and reading and spent many cold winter days at home doing puzzles. Audrey enjoyed playing games with her grandkids and great grandkids.
She is predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Robert B. Ford in 2025, her parents, brothers and sisters and son-in-law, Carl Dicey, Ralph Dicey and Clyde “Sam” Dicey, Erma Lovering, Lois Fontaine and Charles Wood. Audrey is survived by four children and their spouses, Sylvia Wood of Alexandria, NH, Elroy (Diana) Ford of Laconia, NH, Bobbie Jane (Thomas) Folsom of Rineyville, KY and Steven (Mary) Ford of Laconia, NH; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 12:30 P.M. in Riverdale Cemetery, Danbury, NH. A celebration of life will be held at the Danbury Community Center immediately following the graveside service.
