Bolduc is an honorable veteran

Don Bolduc has endorsed Chris Pappas for U.S. Senate. I think he’s wrong. I’m voting for John Sununu.

State Rep. Judy Aron didn’t stop at disagreeing. She called Bolduc “a disgrace to the uniform.”

Remember who she’s talking about. Don Bolduc is a retired Army brigadier general and a combat-wounded veteran. He served this country for more than 30 years, including multiple tours in Afghanistan. Whatever you think of his politics, he has done more for this country than Rep. Aron or any of her ilk.

Since when does an endorsement decide whether someone served honorably? Is Rep. Aron saying only people who vote the way she does can wear the uniform with honor?

If so, I don’t agree with her on much of anything either. By her logic, I must be a disgrace to my uniform too.

I’m not. Neither is General Bolduc.

We can argue about candidates all day. That’s what elections are for. But questioning a veteran’s honor over who he votes for is beneath anyone who holds public office. Rep. Aron owes General Bolduc an apology.
