Campers looked for tadpoles and explored the vernal pool habitats they can be found in during New Hampshire Audubon’s April day camp at the McLane Center in Concord last week. On April 27, after learning how the temporary pools and ponds they see each spring provide ideal habitats for amphibians, like frogs and salamanders, to lay eggs, the campers took their nets and set out to see what they could find.
