Am I the only one? What’s the DOT waiting for?
I’ve been driving up Interstate 89 often lately. I see trees down on both sides of the road. At the Grantham rest area, the main wood beam facing the parking lot is rotten and falling apart. There are two metal benches outside of the info center, and one looks like it was hit by a plow or something. One leg has rusted away, and it looks unsafe.
As you leave that rest area, down the ramp to the travel lane, if you look up on the right there are two tall trees leaning at about a 40 percent tilt. The trees are tall enough to fall directly into the travel lane.
