I find it interesting that on Sunday, Dec. 29, you published a story about the shifting tax priorities that overwhelmingly favor the rich, while also publishing a political cartoon suggesting Elizabeth Warren wants to unfairly steal from one’s neighbors. Perhaps the letter to Santa (“Dear Santa, My neighbor has too much stuff. Please take some of his and give it to me. Sincerely, Lizzie”) should have more accurately read, “Dear Santa, For years you have been giving all the stuff to my neighbor who already has much, much more than anyone else, so much that he can never use it. Please share a little with my siblings and me. We don’t need big fancy toys. But it would be nice to have enough to eat, a warm place to sleep, medical care and a chance to get an education. Sincerely, America’s Destitute, Working Poor and Shrinking Middle Class.”
