The Bow Falcons (16-2) and Hopkinton Hawks (16-1) dominated Division III girls’ lacrosse this spring, with the two teams battling it out in the D-III championship game, the Hawks prevailing, 13-12.
So when the All-State teams were released on Monday, it was no surprise that a combined 11 of 30 total roster spots – and eight of the 15 First Team picks – went to players on those two teams.
Both Bow and Hopkinton claimed four First Team players.
Falcon senior attack Jess Chamberlin, junior midfielder Alex Larrabee, junior defender Bella LaPerle and junior goalie Elena Roy were selected, as were Hopkinton sophomore attack Sarah Chodosh, senior midfielder Annie Higginbotham, sophomore midfielder Hannah Hoyt and senior defender Francie Trafton.
Bow junior midfielder Lyndsey LaPerle and sophomore midfielder Olivia Selleck and Hopkinton junior attack Rose Finlayson were named to the Second Team.
Kearsarge senior midfielder Caroline Camp (reached 100 career goals on April 30) was also named to the D-III First Team and two fellow Cougars – senior defender Savannah Nestler and senior goalie Paige Hoegler – were named to the Second Team.
Concord senior attack Mary Martinson (reached 200 career goals on May 25) was named to the D-I First Team, and Tide junior defender Sophia Branch was named to the Second Team.
