Portsmouth Christian 56, Pittsfield 8
Highlights: Playing in their first varsity game in two seasons, the Panthers gave up several turnovers in the first half due to the Eagles’ pressure, and Portsmouth Christian controlled the pace of the game throughout.
Coach’s quote: “Our girls got a wake up call to the pace of a varsity game. These girls, however, don’t quit, and we collectively know that we have a lot of season ahead of us. We took our bumps tonight, but we will be better for it. Games like these we have to use for teachable moments, and we can all learn so much from games like this regardless of what the scoreboard says. It’s an uphill climb, but we will do it together.” – Pittsfield’s Logan LaRoche
