Beginner skiers and snowboarders excel on their first runs at Pats Peak. The ski area received snow from last week’s storm and with hopes for more before the weekend. The National Weather Service is predicting rain on Thursday when temperatures are in the 40s that will gradually turn to sleet as temps fall below freezing early overnight.

Snow is expected to begin early Friday morning before daybreak and continue throughout the day. About three to six inches of snow is forecasted.
