The Concord High School Marching Band’s halftime show was nearing completion Thursday after four days of rehearsals on Memorial Field and a few splashes of rain.

This year’s show includes musical scores by various artists, including Elton John, Cardi B, Queen and Quiet Riot. The band will perform Friday night at 6 p.m. The football team’s first home game will be held on Sept. 13. Band camp wraps up for the week on Friday, with high temperatures near 80 degrees.

Each year, marching bands from around the state compete against each other at the Salem Band Show at Salem High School. This year, marching bands will converge for the competition Oct. 2.
