The indoor track and field division championships are just three weeks away, and both the Coe-Brown Northwood Academy boys’ and girls’ teams showed they could be near the top of the Division II standings, sweeping a 16-team meet at Plymouth State University on Sunday.

The Lady Bears scored 71 points, most of them in the distance events, and won five of 12 events to easily top Merrimack Valley (36), Campbell (29), Gilford (25) and Belmont (24) in the top five. Pembroke (16) finished eighth, Winnisquam (8) finished 12th, while Franklin competed, but did not score.

The Coe-Brown girls’ had individual victories from Sophie Laird (1,000 meters in 3:17), Elizabeth White (600 in 1:51) and Abigail O’Connor (1,500 in 5:14), as well as wins from the 4×200 and 4×400 relays.

Addison Cox (third 1,000), Ella Malone (third 1,500), Samantha Lemay (third 600) and Olivia Buzzell (fifth 600) also scored in the distance events, while Miranda Compton, Tessa Millette, Kelsey Pine and Amelia Edmonds went 3-4-5-6 for the Bears in the 3,000.

Outside of the distance events, Mabel Mackey (third 55 dash) and Camryn Gatchell (sixth 55 hurdles) also scored points for Coe-Brown.

Addie Hodge won the long jump in 14-11.25 to lead MV, while Emma York (second 1,500), Noelle Colarusso (fourth high jump), Madison Palmer (fourth long jump), Elizabeth LaRoche (fourth shot put), Rebecca Williams (fourth 55 hurdles), Madisyn Garrity (fifth 55 hurdles), Nicole Considine (sixth 600) and the second-place 4×400 also scored for the Pride.

Those results came after a big Saturday for MV when freshman Sophia Reynolds competed in the Dartmouth Indoor Relays and won the 2-mile run championship in 11:08.96.

On Sunday, Belmont was led by Alice Riley (second 1,000), Jada Edgren (fourth 55 dash, fourth 300), Skylar Ruelke (fifth high jump), Gabrielle Day (sixth 55 dash) and the runner-up 4×400.

Madison Bennett won the 55 dash in 7.9 seconds for Pembroke, who also received scoring from Lilly Curtis (third high jump), Cassidy Rondeau (fifth 55 dash, sixth high jump), Amanda Montminy (sixth 300) and the sixth-place 4×400.

Joy Roberts (second high jump) and Faith Gosselin (fourth 1,500) scored for Winnisquam while Emma LaPierre (11th 600) was the lone competitor for Franklin.

On the boys’ side, Coe-Brown had victories from Jonathan Thorn in the shot put (44-7), Wyatt Mackey in the 1,500 (4:21) and the 4×400 relay, to win the meet with 76 points.

Hollis-Brookline (47), MV (34), Campbell (32) and Pembroke (18) rounded out the top five, with Belmont and Winnisquam tying for 11th place with eight points each. Franklin competed, but did not score.

The Bears also had scoring from Porter Heigis (second 300, fifth 55 dash), Luke Tkaczyk (second 3,000), Dawson Dubis (second 1,000), Gavyn Lewis (third 1,000), Logan Mihelich (third 3,000), Colby Hoffman (third 600), Aidan Ahern (fourth 55 hurdles), Hogan Cain (fourth 55 dash), Shane Marston (fifth 600), Jonathan Moehlmann (fifth 55 hurdles), Lars Hogne (sixth 3,000) and the third-place 4×200 relay.

MV was led by Dylan Lessard, who won the 300 in 39.17 seconds and also finished third in the shot put, and Camden Donovan, who won the high jump at 5-10 in addition to finishing fourth in the long jump and sixth in the 55 dash.

Christian Oglesby (third 55 dash), William Dunn (fifth high jump) and the third-place 4×400 also scored for the Pride.

Christian Army (second 55 hurdles, third high jump, fifth long jump), James Dupuis (second high jump) and Jacob Marden (sixth 55 hurdles, sixth high jump) scored for Pembroke.

Evan Griffin (fourth 600) and Ryan Bellville (fourth high jump) scored for Winnisquam, Zack Duclos (fifth shot put) and the fourth-place 4×200 scored for Belmont, and Kyan Graves (eighth shot put) was the top finisher for Franklin.

Nordic skiing

The Concord Nordic ski teams swept the individual titles at Saturday’s skate race at ConVal, with Kaitlyn Watt winning the girls’ 5K race in 15:50 and Cam Brochu winning the boys’ race in 12:32.

Watt beat the runner-up by 1:03 and Matthea Graham (fifth), Johanne Nichols (sixth) and Abby Goulas (eighth) also helped lead the Concord girls’ to the team victory with 384 points, topping Lebanon (376), Plymouth (343.5), Bow (340.5), Souhegan (314), Hanover (285) and ConVal (81).

For the Concord boys, Gavin Graham finished third and Aaron Russell finished 34th, but the Tide didn’t have a fourth finisher to round out the scoring, putting Concord in seventh place (274) behind Hanover (374), Bow (358), Plymouth (358), Lebanon (356), ConVal (321) and Souhegan (308).

Bow’s London Warburton finished second overall for the boys, 46 seconds behind Brochu. Sam Berube (11th), Kirpal Demian (16th) and Calvin Carey (19th) also scored for the Falcon boys, while Isabelle Dolcino (21st), Brianna Boone (22nd), Elizabeth Parker (23rd) and Alyssa Harpring (26th) scored for the Bow girls.
