One of Concord High School’s assistant principals will be leaving at the end of the year.

Commons D assistant principal Chali Davis has accepted a job as Milford High School’s principal. She starts on July 1.

Davis tended her resignation on April 1, said Larry Prince, director of human resources for the district. She has been with the school district since 2016.

Davis said the decision to leave Concord was difficult but that she wanted to grow professionally and be able to work with a larger part of a student population. As an assistant principal Davis said she primarily handles discipline at CHS.

“I like the idea of being able to expand my role,” she said.

Davis said the administrative team at CHS was fundamental to her growth as an educator and said she has learned a lot from the diverse student body.

Davis was one of the district’s top-paid employees last earning, earning $114,510 in gross wages.

Prior to her time at CHS, Davis was an English and humanities teacher at Windham High School and Pinkerton Academy in Derry. She received her bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of New Hampshire, a master’s degree in English language and literature from Middlebury College in Vermont and a post-master’s degree in specializing in education and school administration from UNH.

Superintendent Terri Forsten said this week that a candidate for Davis’ replacement will be brought forward in July.
