Key players: Hopkinton – Keegan St. Cyr (9 points), Lizz Holmes (8 points, 8 rebounds), Sydney Westover (12 rebounds)

Highlights: The Hawks led 21-20 at halftime and by three after the third quarter in securing the road win. Hopkinton received strong defensive games from Shaylee Murdough and Zoe Bishop, holding Conant – last year’s D-III finalists – to five fourth quarter points to pull away late.

Boys’ Basketball

Concord Christian 61, Mount Royal 26

Key players: Concord Christian – Jaden Young (13 points), Isaac Bowers (12 points), Logan Duffy (11 points);  Mt. Royal – Peter Hogan (17 points) 

Highlights: The Kingsmen only allowed one bucket in each quarter of the first half to take a 22-2 lead through eight minutes and extending it to 36-4 at halftime.

Kearsarge 3rd

Key players: Kearsarge – Maelle Jacques (1st high jump at 5-0, 2nd 1,500), Molly Ellison (1st 3,000 in 11:24), Amelia Lefebvre (2nd high jump, 2nd shot put, 6th 1,000), Ellie Wimer (4th 600), Juliet Faria (5th 55), Riley Raynes (tied 6th high jump)

Highlights:  The Cougars finished third in a season-opening 15-team meet on Sunday at Dartmouth. St. Johnsbury Academy, Vt. (76 points), Keene (51.67), Kearsarge (51.33), Timberlane (44) and Newport (27) were the top five teams.

Boys’ Indoor Track

Kearsarge tied 14th

Key players: Kearsarge – Daniel Dalbec (5th 3,000)

Highlights: The Cougars tied for 14th in a 15-team meet held at Dartmouth College on Sunday. Souhegan (73 points), St. Johnsbury Academy, Vt. (65), Keene (55), Milford (41) and Hanover (31) were the top five teams. Kearsarge scored two points, both from Dalbec’s fifth-place finish in the 3,000 meters.

Key players: BLT – Ali Pelletier (3 goals), Kacey Yorston (46 saves), Finley Hollenberg (2 assists), Kylee Dumais (2 assists), Meghan Schmidt (assist, defense), Kylie Palmeter (assist, defense)

Highlights: St. Thomas-Winnacunnet-Dover forced overtime with a game-tying goal in the third period, but Pelletier completed her hat trick 3:46 into OT to lift BLT to another victory.
