We support Paul Hodes for the New Hampshire Senate in District 15 – Concord, Hopkinton, Henniker, and Warner.
We have known Paul for over 40 years as a good neighbor and friend, a co-worker, a community leader, and our congressman. We know him to be an energetic and caring person, a thoughtful and creative thinker, and someone who can work with people of different political persuasions to solve problems in the public interest. New Hampshire needs these qualities in its leaders now more than ever.
As board chair of the Capitol Center for the Arts, he led an outstanding team to develop this regional treasure during the early 1990s economic downturn. As a Democrat, he won election to Congress when a Republican won the presidency, and then served two terms. His people skills and intelligence got him elected as leader of the freshman class upon arriving in Congress.
Paul’s experience with local, state, and national governance is unmatched by any other candidate. His background is an invaluable asset in the pursuit of answers to the wide variety of serious challenges facing the people of New Hampshire: COVID consequences (including massive unemployment, lack of medical insurance for over 100,000 Granite Staters), funding education, feeding the hungry, keeping small businesses running, and the opioid epidemic.
Paul Hodes is the right person to work for us as our state senator.
