Kimball Jenkins, Inc. has hired an interim executive director.

Joan Goshgarian, longtime Executive Director of the New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts, took over the nonprofit historic estate and School of Art this week.

She succeeds author and retired Executive Director of the Upper Valley Educators Institute Rob Fried.

Goshgarian most recently served as a consultant to The MacDowell Colony, the artist colony based in Peterborough.

She is responsible for developing programs such as the Business in the Arts Awards and has received a New Hampshire Lifetime Achievement Award from the Business and Industry Association.

Goshgarian was tapped by the Kimball Jenkins, Inc. Board to assist in the development of a full-time Executive Director position as well as guiding the search for an experienced nonprofit professional to fill the position. Kimball Jenkins, Inc. transitioned from a trust to a non-profit this past summer.

One of Goshgarian’s top priorities will be to manage the Kimball Jenkins School of Art and its art classes, programs, exhibits and events to ensure its art programming continues uninterrupted. Additionally, she will be overseeing the Annual Campaign for the School of Art and the Capital Campaign for the LCHIP funded mansion roof restoration project.
