The beginning of fall is full swing at Meadow Ledge Farm in Loudon, with apples, cider, and some seriously tasty doughnuts ready for purchase.

Earlier this week employee Roy Powell and owner Ernie Roberts were busy at work pressing hundreds of gallons of apple cider.

โ€œItโ€™s flying off the shelves this year because people are still trying to enjoy their fall despite all of the fairs being canceled,โ€ said Roberts. Along with cider, the farm is also busy making their award-winning apple cider doughnuts, which are available Wednesday, Thursday, Friday afternoons 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Meadow Ledge is currently open for you to pick your own apples in their orchard daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The apple varieties that are ready for picking include McIntosh, Macoun, Golden Delicious, Gala, Jonamac, Cortland, Ozark Gold, Liberty and Spartan. Visitors to the farm are asked to wear a mask when picking apples and shopping in the store.
