Police in the city of Manchester said they are cracking down on gang activity.

The move comes after a fight at the Mall of New Hampshire in June that was recorded on surveillance video.

Police said two groups of teenagers who associate themselves with gangs were involved and some arrests have been made.

The police department created a gang prevention unit that is talking with at-risk youth and targeting current gang members.

Chief Nick Willard told WMUR that Manchester doesnโ€™t have gang problem but he said there is a gang presence and more and more teens want to get involved.

So far, the gang unit has made more than 30 arrests, as well as seizing drugs, cash, three fires and a knife.
