Please, oh please, find some proofreaders! Cars are stopped by brakes, not “breaks” as reported in Monday’s below-the-fold article on the whereabouts of Merrimack Valley High School’s valedictorians.
As a former copy editor, I find these kinds of errors cringeworthy, and they seem to be occurring more and more in your paper. Surely there are high school students or some of us retired folks who could volunteer to do proofing.
