Mr. President, you were elected with the same system that has been in place for decades.
While both candidates received the highest number of votes ever cast, Joe Biden received 7 million more votes than his opponent. Donald Trump won his election in 2016 by dividing, intimidating, insulting, and name-calling, all very un-professional and un-presidential. While he attempted to use the same tactics in 2020, he failed to collect enough votes to win the election.
It’s time to admit that you lost so that the country can heal from four years of division and almost a full year of a pandemic that he refused to admit even existed. The people have spoken. You lost. It’s time to concede.
