■The Deliberative Session for Town and School Meeting will be held on Feb. 4 at 9 a.m. at the ARD Middle School at 10.5 School St.

■The Planning Board Meeting will be held on Feb. 1. at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall.

■The Town of Allenstown hereby gives notice of the time limit of the declaration of candidacy for the 2023 Election of Town Officers. The filing period ends on Feb. 3. written declarations of candidacy must be filed with the Allenstown Town Clerk prior to 5 p.m. on Feb. 3 in order for your name to appear on the official town ballot. Forms can be obtained by contacting Allenstown Town Hall and kpelissier@allenstownnh.gov.

■The Monthly Market will be held on Feb. 11 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and on Feb. 12 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Parish Hall.

■The St. John the Baptist Parish Hall screening is held on Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. for health counseling and blood pressure.

■Community Table is held every Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Parish Hall.

■The Suncook Senior Center will hold Arts and Crafts on Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. to make Valentine cards for veterans.

■Suncook Senior Center’s has an upcoming trip to the Mac Tougas Brothers Band and Bobby O’Justin’s Irish Celebration at Daversport Yacht Club on March 15. The traditional Irish lunch is corned be, cabbage, or boneless chicken with homemade stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, and dessert for $111. CHICHESTERLibrary programming

■The Chichester Library is sponsoring a basket making class on Jan. 28 at 9:30 a.m. Supplies will be available. Sign up at the library or call 798-5613. The February Monthly Book Group will be reading the non fiction book When Books Went to War. Stop by the library for information.

■Please welcome student firefighter Grimes at the fire department. Stop by on Monday nights to learn about the program being offered to students.

■Registration for 2023-2024 Kindergarten will take place on Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. at the school. Come and meet the teachers, tour the building and learn about registration procedures. Call the school at 798-5651 for information.

■Town Moderator EwenMacKinnon gave notice that the budget committee and BOS will meet on Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. to continue review on the budget. The snow date will be on Feb. 1. Moderator MacKinnon will conduct a public hearing on Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. to present the budget, warrant articles and general information.

■The NH Food and Dining Association has highlighted the Chichester Country Store as a place you must visit to enjoy baked goods and locally made items and an old fashion country breakfast. Their apple cider donuts are a star attraction and popular at many local eateries.

■Declarations of Candidacy for the town and school district officers ends on Feb. 3. Town declarations will be accepted at the town clerk office with eight openings available. School declarations will be accepted by calling 767-9102 with School Clerk Alisa Mullen, four positions are open.

■The Planning Board will meet at the fire station on Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m. Contact Kristy Jobin at 798-5350 x 201 for the agenda. The meeting will be Chaired by Thomas Jameson, Vice Chair Andrea Deachman and town Ex Official Richard Bouchard. Zoning ordinances can be found on the town website.

■The Chichester Grange will meet on Feb. 1 at the town building Grange Hall at 7p.m, with Master Belval opening the meeting. The Grange is always welcoming new adult and junior members for this worthwhile community program which supports local human resource associations.

■The basketball season is winding down for our middle school student athletes. On Jan. 31 the 7 and 8 Grade girls will be at the Barrington Elementary School at 3:45 p.m. Coach Eric Hussey has dedicated many hours of training to these girls. The boys coached by athletic director Mr. Cipriano and girls team will welcome Farmington on Feb. 1 at 4:30 p.m. On Feb. 2 at 4 p.m. the boys will be at Gilmanton. Grades 3 and 4 boys boys will have a game on Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. at the school. These games are always fun to watch and the bleachers fill up with supporting viewers.

■Resident Rebecca Suomala, a member of the NH Audubon is coordinating a Backyard Winter Bird Survey on Feb. 11 and 12. Chichester residents are encouraged to participate to get a clear picture of what is happening with our winter birds. The survey can be done in your own backyard. ■The Chichester 8th grade class will be hosting a penny raffle during Curriculum Night in February and are looking for help gathering donations. If interested in donating, please contact Mrs Bidwell at rbidwell@sau53.org. The Penny Raffle will benefit the 8th grade annual class trip and end of the year activities.

■Mahjong meets Tuesdays at the Library from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

■The Knitters Group will continue to meet on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Crochet, quilting, and fabric crafters of all sorts are welcome!

■Bone Builders on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m.

■Bedtime Storytime continues on Thursday at 6 p.m. and will feature bedtime books and relaxing movement activities. Pajamas, blankets, and stuffies are highly encouraged.

■Declarations of Candidacy for elected Town Office and School District positions will end on Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. You may file at the office of the Town Clerk at Town Hall during regular business hours. ■The Town of Pittsfield Deliberative Session to review, discuss and explain the warrant articles on the ballot will be held on Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. in the PMHS Gym. In the case of inclement weather, the snow date will be on Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in the PMHS Gym.

■The American Legion Peterson-Cram Post 75 is working with the Pittsfield Town Selectmen to update the Dustin Park War Memorial Wall. We are currently in the process of collecting names of personnel who served in the military, honorably in all wars including Desert Shield/Desert Storm (1990-1991) and the Global War on Terror (2001 to present). The criteria to add a name to ‘The Wall’, is a copy of the service member’s Form DD-214 and must reflect their home of record as Pittsfield. ■The little free libraries here in Pittsfield have been stocked with donations from 4H members as well as contributions from members of the community. They are located in the laundromats at Bell Brothers as well as Danis Supermarket. Please help yourself to some books for your family.

■The Pittsfield High School All Class Reunion Committee has started meeting to plan the Reunion. The All Class Reunion is being planned for July 2023.
