I’m sitting in my office trying to decide what bills to pay and a call comes in. Another bid lost to a giant multinational organization. I’ve worked in a family-owned and run small business in the building trades for over 35 years. It’s getting harder and harder to get ahead.

Larger and larger businesses are consolidating and underbidding small companies like the one I work for. Labor, union and nonunion, fails to keep up while the largest companies get richer.

Elizabeth Warren’s plans to reinvent the oversized influence of corporations in our government speaks directly to our small businesses.

In the building trades, every system has to work together. If one part of the structure is corrupted, the whole building fails. It’s the same with our government.

Warren is the only candidate for president who has made anti-corruption the centerpiece of her campaign. She has a detailed and effective plan to get the influence of money and corporate lobbyists out of our government. You can find info at elizabethwarren.com.

The system just isn’t working for all of us anymore. Corruption goes deep into many areas of our lives. We need someone to help fix it. Please consider voting for Elizabeth Warren on Feb. 11.
