Weare / MerrimackPolice: Man who went missing found dead

Police say a Weare man who went missing last week was found dead in Merrimack.

Donny Guillemette was last seen about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 11 at Weare Middle School. Weare police called for the public’s help in finding Guillemette, who was driving a gray 2014 Jeep Cherokee.

On Saturday, Weare police reported in a Facebook post that Guillemette’s body was found in Merrimack. Guillemette grew up in Sanford, Maine, according to his Facebook page.

Guillemette is listed as the president and CEO of The CareGivers, a non-profit based in Manchester that assists “the frail, elderly and disabled in order that they may maintain their independence and dignity through the spirit of volunteerism,” according to the organization’s website.

Guillemette was included in a subpoena filed Sept. 6 that sought financial records from the non-profit. The subpoena requested annual reports for 2015, 2016 and 2017. Charitable trusts are required to file with and report to the Attorney General. Officers and directors with CareGivers, including Guillemette, were ordered to appear at the AG’s office Sept. 25.
