I am writing to urge voters in Wards 5, 6, and 7 to cast their ballots for school board for Jonathan Weinberg.
As a parent of three now adult children, I know that New Hampshire is second only to Maine in the aging of our population. We are lucky to have a young person willing to engage in civic life. Even better, Weinberg is not an average 21 year old. While still in high school, Weinberg organized an event that involved students and community members. He has testified, more than once, before the state Legislature. He is serious, thoughtful, committed, and open-minded.
With so many issues facing our schools right now, having the perspective of someone who has so recently been a part of them, is a gift. The board has members who are past educators, parents of elementary through high school students, including parents of special education students. There is no one on the board who has the benefit of Weinberg’s perspective and contacts.
I am confident that should Weinberg be elected, he will be a conscientious, accessible, and valuable member of our school board, helping lead our district into the future. I ask you to cast your vote for Jonathan Weinberg for school board in wards 5, 6, and 7.
