Chris Thomas will take over as the new wrestling coach at Bow High School this season.
Announced on Tuesday afternoon, Thomas will look to maintain the Falcons’ reputation one of the premier Division III schools.
Thomas is no stranger to the wrestling scene in New Hampshire, either. He spent the last 11 seasons as an assistant coach at Pelham High School, where he coached against Bow several times.
He’s a Massachusetts native with a wrestling and football background, having played at Dean College in Franklin, Mass.
Bow has finished as Division III state runners-up three out of the last four years in the team tournament. It won the team title in 2019, when it edged out Campbell, 165-152.
Wrestling season officially begins on Nov. 15, when the first practices are allowed. Sanctioned competition can start on Nov. 28.
