On Dec. 26 and 27, Coe-Brown Northwood Academy hosted the First Annual Thomas Conway Classic Basketball Tournament for fifth- and sixth-grade boys and girls from our local communities. The tournament is in honor of Mr. Thomas R. Conway, a longtime principal at the Northwood School. Mr. Conway led the Northwood School for nearly 20 years beginning in the mid-1970s. He organized and hosted a similar tournament for many years at Coe-Brownโ€™s Garrish Gymnasium. Although Mr. Conway was an enthusiast of basketball, his legacy was in the thoughtful development and nurturing of the youth of our community. It is with his spirit of selfless giving and commitment to the youth of our community that we held this tournament.

Proceeds from this yearโ€™s tournament will be used to fund The Tom Conway Scholarship, a scholarship presented to a Coe-Brown Northwood Academy graduate.

Teams from Northwood, Strafford, Nottingham, Epping and Raymond were represented. Nottingham Boys and Raymond Girls teams took home the first-place trophies.
