In response to his grandfather’s Parkinson’s diagnosis, 13-year-old Alex Rubinstein of Hopkinton organized a 3-vs.-3 basketball tournament called “Hoops for Hope” last month to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation. The event took place on May 6 at the Concord YMCA.
In total, 17 teams and approximately 60 players participated and Alex raised about $6,000 for Parkinson’s research.
