Conor M Cannon

Concord, NH – Conor M. Cannon

Conor M. Cannon, 45, of Concord, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 17.

Conor was a graduate of Concord High School and Plymouth State University, and he earned his master’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University. He was known for his dry sense of humor, his love of reading, and the deep joy he found exploring the woods of New Hampshire and Maine. Conor was happiest either in the company of friends or in a quiet spot with a good book and a cup of tea.

Music was a lifelong passion for Conor, especially playing the guitar. He maintained an extensive collection of classic rock albums, with favorite artists including the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, and Phish-though in later years he jokingly began referring to Phish as “dad music.”

Conor was deeply committed to Alcoholics Anonymous and to maintaining his sobriety. He recently celebrated twenty consecutive years alcohol-free, a remarkable milestone that reflected his strength, resilience, and dedication.

Conor’s generosity of spirit and quick wit touched many lives. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his sister, Jenifer Cannon of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and his brother, Will Cannon of New Hampton, New Hampshire; and by his four nieces and nephews, Henry, Oliver, Eliza, and Harper.

Celebrations of Conor’s life will be held in Concord, New Hampshire, and Portland, Maine. Details will be shared with friends and family when available. Those wishing to honor his memory are invited to share a story or remembrance with the family, or to consider making a donation to a local charity in his name.
