Boys’ Soccer

Lebanon 3, Merrimack Valley 0

Highlights: Lebanon scored about 20 minutes in on a corner and then answered five minutes later with another one when a Lebanon attacker was able to move through MV defense and find the back of the net. MV continued to battle, but the size and skill was too much to overcome the 2-0 deficit. Lebanon found the back of the net again when a crossing ball was one-touched into the back of the net with about 20 minutes left to play. MV continued to fight, but Lebanon continued to hold off any Pride attacks.

Coach’s quote: “We knew coming into this game that Lebanon was going to be a really good team and they lived up to that expectation. They are big and they move the ball very well. We needed to limit our mistakes against such a dominant team and the mistakes that we did make they capitalized on. I am very proud of how the boys continued to fight tonight. They all worked hard and never gave up. We had some chances, but Lebanon does a great job of staying disciplined in every position. We need to bounce back as we get ready to end the regular season on Friday against Pembroke and then get ready for playoffs.” – MV’s Ken Fuller

Records: Lebanon 13-2-0; MV 6-5-4
