Amoskeag Rowing Club hosted its largest event of the year on Sunday. Teams from all over the Northeast descended on Memorial Field in Pembroke for the George Dirth Regatta, the New Hampshire Championship.

Named after avid Amoskeag Rowing Club (ARC) and accomplished collegiate rower George Dirth, the event featured hundreds of boats and thousands of fans cheering them on from the edge of the water.

Concord Crew and ARC used it as an opportunity to compete against a large field of competitors and top boats ahead of the Head of the Charles Regatta starting on Friday, Oct. 16.

The smell of grilled food filled the air as a constant flow of rowers and boats launched off the dock, going upstream as each race made its way down.
