Coach’s quote: “This was a big game with Newfound, our annual ‘Battle of the Bears’ Coaches Cup game to honor the memory of our Scott Cote and Newfound’s Ron Bucklin. Winner gets to keep the Coaches Cup for the next year. I like the way we came back after trailing twice early in the game. We hit the ball well today (14 hits) and executed our small-ball game perfectly. Everyone in the lineup scored at least one run. The guys are always up for this game. We’re still a work in progress, but I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far.” – Winnisquam’s Fred Caruso
