In his 2019 State of the Union speech, our ex-president said, “We must never ignore the vile poison of antisemitism or those who spread its venomous creed.” Not ignoring those venomous people appears to mean having dinner with some of them. He recently had dinner with Kanye West (“Ye”) and white supremacist Nick Fuentes. The former POTUS claims that he didn’t know Fuentes, a Holocaust denier who has made scores of racist and antisemitic statements.
That Fuentes even got into Mar-a-Lago is amazing given his scorchingly racist and antisemitic rhetoric. The former POTUS blaming Ye would be comical if it wasn’t so sad. Why did Ye get any invite at all to Mar-a-Lago when he has also made antisemitic statements? When our former POTUS sits down to break bread with bigots it is because he is a bigot.
