Three people were sent to prison after pleading guilty to kidnapping and assaulting a Dunbarton man and then assaulting a Goffstown man in March last year.
Isaiah Williams, 19, of Goffstown and Jayson Setoute, 20, of Manchester each pleaded guilty to first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit assault and kidnapping, all felonies. They will each serve a minimum of 15 years in state prison. Williams faces a maximum of 75 years, and Setoute faces up to 60 years.
Alissa Chandler, 20, of Goffstown pleaded guilty to criminal threatening and kidnapping. Chandler will serve between four and eight years in prison.
Police say Williams, Setoute and Chandler drove to the victim’s home in Dunbarton on March 8, 2015. Setoute and Williams got out of the car and waited at the end of the driveway while Chandler drove to the house and picked up the victim.
Setoute and Williams got back in the car, police say, with Setoute wielding a handgun and Williams holding a baseball bat. Police say Setoute and Williams assaulted the victim in the car. According to court documents, the victim was beaten with the gun and baseball bat.
Police say the victim was then forced to turnover his cell phone, and Chandler drove the group to Goffstown where they assaulted another man. According to court documents, the phone was used to lure the second victim outside.
Williams was known by Manchester police to have ties to the Bloods gang, according to court documents. Records also show Williams and Setoute were suspected drug dealers, but there was no evidence to suggest the assault was related to drug or gang activity.
One of the victims suffered two broken orbital bones, a broken sinus cavity, loss of vision in his right eye and a broken hip from the beating, according to court records. He was dumped on Moose Club Park Road, where he was later found by local residents, who notified police.
