To tolerate something means to allow it to exist, unless you are a progressive and then it means to accept it without question on their terms; if it is not compatible with their beliefs and way of thinking, then you are “intolerant.”
If members of Congress do their jobs and slow down legislation, they are “obstructionists.” When voters elect representatives who don’t reflect progressive values, then they are “uneducated.” When people want to cut taxes, they are “greedy.” It is not “wealth redistribution”; it’s now “economic fairness.”
Often these same people bring up Sen. Joe McCarthy, yet they brand anyone questioning their beliefs as “racist,” “homophobic,” “xenophobic” and a host of other terms, carefully crafted in an attempt to shame and silence those with whom they disagree.
Progressives don’t practice what they preach. Progressives call for “diversity” but not when it comes to opinions that differ from their own. If you question immigration policy, you are immediately branded “xenophobic.” If you criticize President Obama, you are automatically a “racist.”
In this election cycle, citizens are waking up and that is why Trump is so appealing. Progressives fed like pigs at the trough of political correctness and gorged themselves on big government social agenda for nearly eight years. The silent majority is waking up, and they have had enough of progressives attempting to declare “the debate is over” by shaming others through political correctness.
Doesn’t that show a lack of “tolerance”? Thirty-eight percent of the population should not be allowed to control the debate through abuse of the English language.
