On Friday, two No. 1 seeds were stunned in the Sweet 16, a rare occurrence in NCAA women’s basketball. I noticed the men’s teams mentioned on the front page. The front of the sports section had an article that continued on to a full page spread including their bracket. I enjoyed reading about them very much. But, there was not even a box score for the women.
In order for women’s sports to advance in our country, it needs to be covered by the press. Their advancement is in your hands.
