The Concord Capitals completed pool play with a perfect 3-0 record after beating the Colorado Roughriders, 4-1, on Saturday at the girls’ hockey 16U Tier-II National Championships in Vermont.

Concord moves into this morning’s quarterfinal round. Should the Caps win, they’d play in the semifinals Sunday night, with the championship set for Monday morning.

The Capitals took control early, scoring twice in each of the first two periods to build a 4-0 lead.

Bridget Babcock scored shorthanded 5:34 into the game, then Dominique Biron scored off an assist from Ashlyn Brown late in the frame.

Morgan Sisson set up Olivia Branch for a power-play goal 6:04 into the second period, and Mikah Baptiste added another about 5 minutes later with assists from Darby Palisi and Isabelle Benoit.

Colorado scored its lone goal 3:16 into the third, the only shot to get past Concord goalie Abby Houle (19 saves). The Caps outshot the Roughriders, 38-20.
