A SolarCity box truck rolled over while traveling north on Interstate 93 in Concord on Wednesday.
About 8 a.m., state police responded to the accident in the area of Exit 13. The driver – Winston Pemberton, 51, of Derry – was driving in the travel lane when traffic ahead slowed down. Pemberton hit the brakes but could not slow down quickly enough and swerved right to avoid hitting the car ahead of him, according to state police.
Pemberton drove the truck onto the right shoulder, and the truck rolled onto its right side, according to a press release. Resting on its side, the truck partially blocked the Exit 13 on-ramp.
Pemberton was issued a violation for following too closely, state police said. The travel lane was closed while the vehicle was removed.
State police are asking witnesses to call Trooper Jeffrey Ardini at 223-4381.
