Karen Sherman and Jason Plume of San Diego, Calif., formerly of Concord, announce their engagement.
Sherman, daughter of Connie and Richard Sherman of San Diego, Calif., earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of California San Diego and a masters degree in public administration from Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs at Ohio University.
Plume, son of Kate Plume of Tehachapi, Calif., and the late Donald Plume, earned a bachelor’s degree in history from California State University Bakersfield and a doctorate in political science from Maxwell School of Public Affairs and Citizenship at Syracuse University. He is a visiting assistant professor of political science at Augustana College.
A June 25 wedding is planned.
