MeredithArtisan call

Local artisans in Central New Hampshire, interested in joining a nonprofit cooperative, are invited to bring four to five samples of their work to the Meredith Public Library on April 13. Appointments are being scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Artisans on the Bay will feature a diverse mix of fine art and handcrafted items offered for sale directly by artisans For more information, email artisansbythebay@gmail.com.

Hopkinton Town Library has Endurance: Shackletonโ€™s Incredible Voyage by Alfred Lansing available for patrons to read prior to a discussion with Harold Janeway on May 11 at 1 and 7 p.m. at the library. Copies of Carol Dweckโ€™s Mindset are also available as a complement to Lansingโ€™s book.

Smart photos

Camera Commons in Dover is calling all smart phone photographers to submit their best photo for a smart phone photography show May 1 to July 3.ย Any photograph taken with a smart phone is eligible. Each photographer is allowed to enter one image. Only images printed as a 5-by-7 inch on an 8.5-by-11 inch sheet will be considered. All prints must have the artistโ€™s name, email and image title provided. Prints must be submitted to Camera Commons,ย 652 Central Ave., Dover by April 24 or emailed by April 17 to info@cameracommons.com. ConcordThrifty shopping

The Chapter Two Thrift Shop at St. Paulโ€™s Episcopal Church will restock with spring merchandise April 4 with boutique items, gently- used clothing, shoes, accessories and small household items. Regular hours are Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m.ย to 2 p.m. All proceeds benefit the SPC food pantry, Assistance with Dignity, and other efforts supporting children and families.
