Well, Henniker, here we go again: Stopping a merchant from coming into town, this time Dollar General, and perhaps giving retirees a bit of tax relief.
Of course we must stop anything that might help the tax base, although all that have attempted to come to town propose building in commercially zoned areas.
Soon all of us retirees will be forced to move because the tax rate goes up every year, while rates in other towns in the area go down, and we won’t be able to afford to stay even if we have lived here all our lives.
