Puerto Rico problems

Now our generous members of Congress are proposing a plan to bail out Puerto Rico to the tune of $70 billion.

Are these idiots for real?

Seems we never have enough money to help our veterans, replace equipment lost in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, solve the financial problems with Medicare and Social Security but we damn sure have plenty of money for foreign aid and welfare programs.

Their government is now insisting on having complete control of the $70 billion-plus they expect from us as well. Yet it is their incompetent and corrupt government that has caused the problem in the first place.

Puerto Rico has for years wanted to become an independent country. Well, let them. Now is the time to let them. That way they can ask for financial help from the World Bank or U.N. so that other countries can help them with the welfare they so desperately want.
