On Planned Parenthood, don’t believe Hassan, Shaheen

“Who are you going to believe, us or your own eyes?” That’s the message of Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Gov. Maggie Hassan in their April 16 “Our Turn” in the Monitor.

They assure us that the Center for Medical Progress videos are false. For evidence, they gloat that those who exposed Planned Parenthood were indicted by a grand jury.

Those indictments only prove the lengths government officials will take to protect their corporate ally.

The indictments never state that the videos are false. They are for “tampering with a governmental record” – using a fake ID, a common practice for undercover reporters – and an ironic misdemeanor charge of violating the state’s “prohibition of the purchase and sale of human organs.”

I would love to see Hassan and Shaheen host a screening of video highlights where they explain how David Daleidan falsified footage of an employee saying, “I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact,” or of another boasting she’ll get a Lamborghini from the sale of body parts.
